It finally happened, this morning at around 11:52 AM; after 8 years of faithful service, my old Gateway computer finally rode off into the sunset. I thought that it might take me awhile to get used to another computer and another operating System- in this case, Windows 7, but as I’m learning, such is not the case. They couldn’t- in fact, have made the transition that I so feared- any easier. While I am still quite sad to have lost my old computer, the new one leaves me with a sense of relief, it appears that the operating system won’t be all that difficult to learn than was Windows XP. I still; have more to figure out with the new desktop but so far it’s looking good.

Where have you been? I may have to get a new one soon also. This Dell is getting old...

I've used Windows 7 on Hubs Acer Netbook. Which is what we now use to store customer info on since my computer is dying. I've not found any glitches although I don't use it to surf the web with. With work and all, I've had to use computers other than my own and have learned that change is not as bad as I thought. I'm just glad Baby held on past Vista. That wasn't anything I wanted to deal with.
ReplyDeleteScratch,
ReplyDeleteMrs. O and I are hoping to get a few more millenia out of our Flintstone 400, though the bird that copies the photos has had to have three beak transplants.
Sarge:
ReplyDeletebeen spending a lot of time on Tumblr & Facebook, as for the computer-
I picked up my new desktop at Walmart for $320 minus the monitor which I already had. so far I'm liking it.
Sherry:
ReplyDeleteI hated Vista, it was too big, too memory intensive and over all just too clunky. Glad they came out with 7 it seems much more streamlined to me. a lot closer to the XP experience.
Mr. O:
ReplyDeleteAhhhh.. The Good ol Flintstone 400.. well if the old bird dies the good news is you can always replace it with a new bird.
